She was put there like a salad stump, with her little bottom in and her legs and head out!

Given this, I realised that the Cycling Safety Awareness Campaign should not be limited to just 10 articles, of which we are exactly halfway through with this one, but perhaps have future developments that we will think about and try to implement in the future.

But let's talk about how to transport 3 children safely by bike!

Of course, not on any bicycle, as we have already discussed above, with a two-wheeler it is not possible to transport even two children safely. If you are looking for a way to transport three children by bicycle, then you are already aware of the existence of the family bike or of the cargo bike and you are looking for the best way to transport your children. In this case, look for clues as to what to look out for when choosing an eco-transport suitable for transporting three children by bike, let's see them together:

1. The bicycle must be SAFE and therefore suitable for transporting 3 children, Unless you are Leonardo da Vinci himself, I would advise against any kind of DIY.
Not when it comes to the safety of one's children!

And I have already seen a tricycle with the rear basket and the seats in the DIY basket. It's not safe even to look at!

The best solution, of course, is a bike created specifically for transporting children, i.e. TAGA BIKE, otherwise the many cargo bikes or family bikes, not created from scratch like TAGA around the needs of children, but at least decently adapted for this purpose, are also fine, from the manufacturer!

2. Electric. And yes, to transport three kids on a bike, especially in summer, you would need pedal assistance. If you haven't read our previous article on how to choose an electric bicycle, you can read it here. If, on the other hand, you want to combine going out with children with some exercise, then you can opt for a bike without a motor; you can install it when you want, when the children have grown up.

3. Versatile. I'll take the kids to school and go to work, I'll do the shopping and pick them up, we'll go for a picnic in the park or go to the beach and maybe even bring a beach umbrella, - we can do all this and much more with a Family Bike, a true family ally! But the versatility of a bike does not end there, it is measured by its ability to adapt to the real needs of a changing family! Do you have one child? Would you like to have the second? Do you have two and are thinking about or expecting a third? Do you have a newborn? Only the TAGA allows you to transport up to three children including an infant in complete safety. Watch this video!

4. Agile. This is not a matter of course. The beauty of the bicycle lies in its agility, traffic, choice of park paths, shortcuts and side streets, and if need be, the possibility of doing a stretch on the pavement too, why not? An average two-wheeler has a handlebar width of 73-75 cm, and a length of about 165 cm. Knowing how to use it well, it can be very agile, but it obviously cannot carry three children, nor should it carry two. In comparison, I with my TAGA Family can pass without getting off the bike between the limiting poles of bike lanes or pedestrian zones, get through the queue of cars stopped at traffic lights or stuck in traffic, and ride on dirt roads or narrow paths without any problems. All this with a bike that is only 78 cm wide and can fit through a doorway! and 195 cm long. Compared to other cargo and/or family bikes that are about 90 cm wide if they are three-wheelers and over two metres long if they are two-wheelers. These, apparently only a few tens of centimetres, affect whether or not they can pass in bike lanes, traffic or park paths.

5. The bicycle should be practice. Practicality, after safety, is the most important element when transporting three children on a bike! Going out with children, if by itself is not exactly a relaxing activity, let alone with all three together! If you want an enjoyable and exciting experience for the whole family, make sure you have a comfortable, agile, easy-to-use and maintain bicycle that allows you to enjoy a nice ride all together, visit the grandparents, go to school, go shopping, have a picnic or go to the beach, - a real replacement for the car for short trips within a radius of about 10 km. What influences the practicality or otherwise of a bicycle? Obviously everything we have already listed and more:

- the possibility of loading children and dropping them off with the bicycle standing on its own;

- the possibility of transporting the bike in the car in the luggage rack or bike carrier easily;

- the possibility of comfortably transporting the bike even in an aeroplane, train or coach, so that you are never without it.

- the possibility of having the children comfortable, safe and entertained,

“Mummy, Daddy, WON'T WE GO OUT?!”

Yes, because only TAGA can offer all this and more!

Trasportare 3 bambini in bicicletta in modo sicuro è assolutamente possibile!
