TAGA BIKE: the ABC of Safety
TAGA BIKE: the ABC of Safety
The safety of the TAGA Bike is indisputable. Due not only to the stable three-wheeled structure (3 better than two 😉 ) but also and above all to an intelligent steering mode, based on the Ackermann's law (in the same way as in car steering, the wheels are tilted at a different angle to make the steering optimised to the maximum; this does not happen in a classic tricycle, which is much less stable when cornering).
Its stability also provides a better view for the driver, allowing you to concentrate on controlling the situation on the road and keeping the pace best suited to it.
Protection: This must never happen. But in the event of a collision, the child is better protected on the Taga than on any other open vehicle, even the pushchair. By the way, the TAGA Bicycle Stroller also doubles as a beautiful designer pram with the same safety features.
The structure is made of aluminium for the Bici Passeggiino line and ultra-resistant steel for the Family Bike line, not only of the bike itself but also of the seat frame and the protection around it (protective bar, reinforced footrest and the reinforced seat frame - Bici Passeggiino and the reinforced basket - Family Bike). A real engineering challenge was the idea of splitting the handlebars to allow children to stay as close as possible to their parent (right in our arms!) further protected by the reinforced handlebars. 5-point harness for the Bicycle Stroller and 3-point and 3-height adjustable harness for the Family Bike.
TAGA recommends the use of helmets always and especially on the road. Personally, I get the shivers every time (98% of the bikes I encounter) I see children on the road on bikes without helmets (and to think they are the classic two-wheelers!).
It is true that in TAGA children are safer by far, but the use of helmets is still absolutely recommended.
Brakes: What can I say, disc brakes on both front wheels and drum brakes on the rear wheel of excellent quality offer soft but firm and immediate braking when you need it.
Handling: Placed almost last, certainly not because of its importance, but because of the awareness of how much it affects safety.
For example, have you ever thought and considered not just from the point of view of your comfort, but from the point of view of safety? The connection is a bit stronger than just comfortable, so more attention to the road.
It is also more agile to react and move around, avoiding some potentially dangerous situations in the street. And not only that, it gives you access to cycle lanes that are often restricted by bars to keep mopeds out, but bulky or long bicycles stay out.
Carry 2-3 children safely. In TAGA you can! Unlike many other solutions, including the bike with two mounted child seats, which is not only against the law, but also and ESPECIALLY! not safe at all.
Details that you don't notice but make a difference: Protected chain. Structure of the seat well thought out in its details. All done to prevent your children or you (and consequently them) from getting into little mishaps, such as getting a limb or piece of clothing stuck somewhere. The biggest challenges are there, where you don't notice them. Enjoy your TAGA ride by concentrating solely and exclusively on your baby and the path ahead!
TAGA took care of the rest!
